First Day of On-Campus Classes for Junior Montessori!
The first day of school marks the start of an exciting time in a child’s life. It is truly a momentous, yet overwhelming prospect for both parents and children. In order to make this transition easy, AIS invited mothers to accompany their children in the classrooms for the initial settlement week.
In this week the little learners were engaged in many activities such as colouring, pasting, story-telling, puppet show and rhymes which created memorable moments and made them look forward to the year ahead. It was a fun time and a wonderful experience for everyone as students, parents and teachers mingled with each other whilst observing the Covid-19 precautions and safety measures. In order to implement proper social distancing, student groups were further divided into two slots per day.
Although the young students were in school for reduced hours, they were brave and enjoyed it to the fullest. CBR campus students took home lovely ‘Welcome Headbands’ while H-11 campus students made ‘Colourful Cards’ for themselves. F-8 campus students went back home happily wearing their first day ‘Crowns’.
At AIS we aspire to transform our schools into learning communities of Deen and Duniya as we strive to provide quality 21st century education by engaging students in active learning which enhances their creativity and critical thinking skills. We consider it a great responsibility and privilege to be the educators of these young children and will spare no effort to ensure that every child at AIS has a safe and stimulating learning experience this year, InshaAllah.
May Allah (SWT) bless our little ones as they embark on a rewarding new phase of life and keep everyone safe and healthy! Ameen.
