A Surah in the Holy Qur’an has been named after Friday (Al-Jumu’ah) to emphasize the importance of this day. Many Islamic momentous events happened on this blessed day.

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday.” [Muslim]
