Al-Qur'anu Rabi'u Qalbi

Renewal Through the Qur'an

Allah ﷻ has blessed us with the sacred month of Ramadan as a time for renewing hearts, intentions, and actions. It is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, not merely to be recited, but to guide hearts and transform lives.

"The month of Ramaḍan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion."
[Al-Baqarah: 185]

In Ramadan, hearts soften, distractions quieten, and souls become more receptive. This year’s theme, Al-Qur'anu Rabi'u Qalbi, ‘Qur'an; the spring of my heart,’ invites us to move beyond recitation and rediscover the Qur'an as a source of guidance, comfort, clarity, healing, and transformation.

"Just as spring revives the earth after lifelessness, the Qur'an revives hearts that feel tired, distant, or overwhelmed."

Beyond Recitation: A Living Relationship

Ramadan is not only about completing recitation goals, but about allowing the Qur'an to complete what is missing within us. It is a time to slow down, reflect, and ask:

  • How can I get answers from the Qur'an to the feelings I carry?
  • How does the Qur'an address the challenges in my life?
  • How can the Qur'an's guidance influence my choices?

One of the most beautiful aspects of Ramadan is the prophetic model. Jibreel (AS) would revise the Qur'an with the Prophet ﷺ every Ramadan. This teaches us the importance of revisiting and strengthening our relationship with the Qur'an.
