Pray for Guidance!
In Mecca, the Prophet ﷺ prayed in the direction of the Ka’bah. When the Prophet ﷺ migrated to Medina, Allah ﷻ commanded him to face Bayt Al-Maqdis (in Jerusalem). He ﷺ wished that he could pray facing the Ka`bah (at Makkah). The People of the Book were happy when he prayed facing towards Bayt Al-Maqdis, and when he turned to face towards the Ka‘bah with the will of Allah ﷻ, they disdained and objected.
The Prophet ﷺ is being given reassurance here to not give any importance or value to the criticism of the people because those who object to the command of Allah, they are the foolish ones.
Allah ﷻ knows about the past, present and the future as His knowledge is complete. We must seek His Divine Guidance by virtue of His Knowledge and must accept it wholeheartedly.
