Tazkiyah, our guiding theme this year, embodies the essence of spiritual purification and growth. It emphasizes the profound journey of cleansing our hearts and nurturing of radiant aspects in our spiritual quest. It's all about unwavering devotion to Allah (SWT) and being mindful of His presence. Our main goals are to seek His divine pleasure, reach the highest levels of Jannah, and discover the hidden treasures within our hearts.

The Holy Qur'an emphasizes the importance of having a pure heart. It makes a distinction between those with chained hearts (Qaswa tul Qalb) and those who are repentant and humble (Qalbi Muneeb).

Tazkiyah tun Nafs represents our sacred journey toward a purified, virtuous, and enlightened soul!

As we approach this event, we anticipate that our young representatives will aptly convey the essence of Tazkiyah through their performances, sharing a powerful message that resonates with adults and children alike.

Together, we will embark on a journey of spiritual growth and purification, In Shā Allāh!

SUB-THEMES

The following sub-themes capture the essence of 'Tazkiyah' and provide a framework for our event, guiding us towards spiritual growth and becoming better in our thoughts and actions.

Devoted Heart

'Devoted Heart' delves into our natural inclination towards righteousness, urging us to recognize this inner purity. It encourages self-improvement, fostering courage, optimism, and hope. The sub-theme also focuses on nurturing profound love for Allah (SWT), selflessness, and unwavering devotion to please Him. It provides guidance on attaining and deepening this love, seeking Allah (SWT)'s help, reflecting on universal signs, and striving for His pleasure.

Dutiful Body & Soul

'Dutiful Body & Soul' focuses on the core acts of Islamic worship, including Salah, Zakah, Sawm, and Hajj. It highlights that genuine happiness is found in these acts of devotion, supported by the teachings of scholars like Ibn Abbas R.A and Hasan Al-Basri. Hasan Al-Basri suggests that if one does not find happiness in the remembrance of Allah (SWT), the Qur’an, and Salah, one's heart may be closed. To cure a diseased heart, constant engagement in worship is recommended.

Beauty in Character

'Beauty in Character' delves into character development, where the heart's influence guides our actions. Emphasizing the recognition of truth through Tawheed, Quran, and Sunnah, it fosters humility. This sub-theme highlights the significance of intentional living and ethical excellence, reflecting the character of the Prophet (SAW), centering on qualities like humility and gratitude. It also addresses self-battles, combating spiritual poisons, as well as tongue-related issues such as jealousy, lies, and backbiting, while nurturing a beautiful character that embodies Islam's core values.

Continuous Self-improvement

Within this subtheme, the importance of self-reflection is emphasized as individuals recognize their spiritual ailments and seek self-improvement through regular self-assessment. Repentance is the foundational mechanism for spiritual growth, leading to salvation and Allah (SWT)'s forgiveness. The practice of private, high-quality worship, covering physical, mental, and emotional aspects, is highlighted as an essential means of personal connection with Allah (SWT). Secret acts of goodness and moments of solitude are encouraged, regardless of external circumstances, enabling us to cleanse our hearts.

Living with Impact

As ambassadors of Islam, we embrace the shared obligation of D'awah, the call to Islam, and are encouraged to exemplify our faith positively in our daily lives. It begins with trusting in Allah (SWT) and maintaining a profound connection with Him. Helping others becomes a pathway to self-purification, rooted in genuine care for people of all ages. Following the example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity, we recognize that true purification involves active engagement with society. We must constantly inquire about how we can contribute, unlock our inner potential, and nurture our souls as we strive to make a meaningful impact.
