Remain Patient & Hopeful!

It is human nature to never stop wishing for more, to keep wanting more. We want better health, tastier food, trendier clothes, more money, updated gadgets… our greed is endless.
In all this, when any hardship falls upon us, an immediate despair washes over us and we become saddened. We utter statements like:
👉🏻 ‘How come I didn’t get this?’
👉🏻 ‘Why did it happen to me?’
👉🏻 ‘I’ve been praying for so long…’
Among many, one form of despair is to give up praying, to give up calling upon Allah ﷻ, to become hopeless.
⚜️HADITH: The Prophet ﷺ said that, ‘The Du’ā of the servant is granted as long as he does not supplicate for sin or for severing the ties of kinship or he does not become impatient.’ [Sahih Muslim]
Hopelessness and despair are not found in a believer’s dictionary of life. HOPE and PATIENCE helps a believer thrive through challenges in life. Allah ﷻ has blessed us with so much and if He tests us with some hardship, we must remain patient and ask Him earnestly to help.
Give up?…no way!
🔹Question: Which Prophet was afflicted with trials of health, wealth and family after thriving his whole life, yet, he remained patient and supplicated only to his Lord?
