Ramadan with Qur’an 2022 l Juz 29

When we do something good, we should do it to seek Allah ﷻ’s approval, to be of those who will be given the privilege to see Allah ﷻ’s Countenance. This is the ultimate goal of a believer. Our goal should not be to seek acceptance and gratitude from people. Instead, it should be to seek reward from Allah ﷻ only.

⚜️ HADITH: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, ‘O people, make your actions sincere for Allah, because Allah the Exalted only accepts deeds that are done sincerely for Him.’ [Sunan al-Dāraquṭnī]

Whether it is Ṣalāh, the fasts that we keep, the Zakāt (charity) that we give; our aim should be to seek the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. Even when we are fulfilling the rights of people, or seeking knowledge, or serving our family, doing Dhikr, or being patient; every single action of ours should be to finally be among the ones who are honoured to see لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ ; the Face of Allah ﷻ!

A beautiful Du`ā to seek this beautiful moment:
اَسْئَلُكَ لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ اِلَی وَجْھِكَ وَالشَّوْقَ اِلَی لِقَاءِكَ فِیْ غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ وَّلَا فِتْنَةٍ مُّضِلَّةٍ

I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Countenance and eagerness of meeting You without undergoing any harmful difficulty or a trail that leads astray.
