Qura’nic & Masnoon Du’as | Day 18
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ الْهُدٰی وَالتُّقٰی وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنٰی
اے ﷲ! بے شک میں تجھ سے ہدایت، تقوٰی، پاکدامنی اور بے نیازی کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔
O Allah! Indeed I ask You for guidance, Allah consciousness, chastity and contentment.
(Sahih Muslim)
In the same words that my beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) asked, today I ask You my Rabb for four of the most precious, needed blessings. First & foremost, I beg You for granting me with GUIDANCE for You are the best Guide and it is Your guidance that I ultimately seek. Allah, guide me to the straight path – don’t let me wander in darkness, don’t let me slip and damage my iman or become distant from You. Show me the straight path, make me tread it and enable me to reach the right destination.
Allah, I can’t do that without having TAQWA. Make me remain conscious of You whether day or night, home or office, in public or alone – make me lead a life of Allah consciousness.
Modesty being an integral branch of Iman, Allah preserve my CHASTITY. Make me pure; my heart, my tongue, my thoughts, my sight and my limbs- make them all stay away from the indecent for Your sake Ya Allah.
Finally, enrich me with the richness of CONTENTMENT of heart; that whatever I have, becomes enough for me. That I need not long for anything more, or look towards worldly means. Allah is enough for me. Ameen
