Qura’nic & Masnoon Du’as | Day 26

There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.
(Surah Al-Anbya: 87)

From the darkness Yunus(AS) called out to his Rabb through these precious words; from the darkness of the belly of the fish; the darkness of the ocean; and the darkness of the night- he called a prayer that transcended heavens and was heard by the One who is the ‘Light of the Heavens and the Earth’. Ya Allah, today I call on you from the darknesses that I have somehow gotten into, darkness of doubt, hypocrisy, materialism, self-obsession, pride, greed, injustice, superficialness – I call on You, reiterating my belief that there is no god but Allah- You are free from all imperfections and I confess of the zulm that I’ve done on myself and others.

Ya Allah, accept my duas, accept my tawba, Allah take me form darkness to light, remove the problems from my life for only You have complete power to do that. Ameen

The Prophet (S.A.W) said: “Shall I not tell you of something that, if any worldly calamity or disaster befalls any man among you and he says these words, he will be relieved of it. (It is) the du’aa’ of Dhu’l-Noon: “Laa ilaaha illa anta subhaanaka inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen.” According to another report: “No Muslim man says this du’aa’ concerning anything but Allah will answer his prayer.”
(Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer wa Ziyaadatuhu)
